Capcom is soon to be creating games for the social network Facebook. Bloomberg News released a news post about Capcom, the Japanese publisher of the "Resident Evil" and "Street Fighter" game series , saying they will be introducing its first title for Facebook as early as this year.

"Gaming on social networks is poised to impact the traditional video game industry and is a presence that cannot be ignored," Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto said in an interview in Tokyo yesterday. "We have to make our move."

Yet there are no details to be released on what type of game they will be creating but they are not the only ones who will be joining the social network. Ubisoft, THQ, Electronic Arts are in the mix of creating games for the popular social networking site aswell so be on the look out for some awesome games from these large game publishers.

If you have Facebook you have most likely heard of or played the two most popular games FarmVille and Mafia Wars. Zynga Network Inc., the operators for Facebooks biggest games, said last month they may record more then $450 million in sales this year alone from selling virtual objects such as tractors for "FarmVille" or even machine hunes for "Mafia Wars".

Free internet browser games have been really popular for the past couple years and for all you fans get ready for some amazing titles coming out from these big game publishers. Hopefully we will even see some of there past titles released for Facebook within a year or so.
